2. DEFINITIONS
Dwelling
A dwelling having an area of at least 21 m2 that does not belong to the owner or operator of the livestock facilities concerned or to a shareholder or manager owning or operating the facilities.
Protected immovable
(a)  a business;
(b)  a recreational, sports or cultural centre;
(c)  a municipal park;
(d)  a public beach or marina;
(e)  land belonging to an educational institution or an institution within the meaning of the Act respecting health services and social services (chapter S-4.2);
(f)  a campground;
(g)  buildings of an outdoor recreational area or a nature interpretation centre;
(h)  a ski lodge or golf clubhouse;
(i)  a religious temple;
(j)  a summer theatre;
(k)  a tourist accommodation establishment within the meaning of the Regulation respecting tourist accommodation establishments (chapter E-14.2, r. 1), except bed and breakfast establishments, tourist homes or basic furnished lodgings;
(l)  buildings used for wine tasting purposes in vineyards or restaurants of 20 seats or more that hold a year-round operating permit, and facilities for country or any other similar form of dining where the eating facilities do not belong to the owner or operator of the livestock facilities concerned.
Protected heritage site
A heritage site recognized by a competent jurisdiction and shown on the land use planning and development plan.
Municipal urbanization perimeter
The boundary envisaged for the growth of a municipality’s urban areas, as defined in its land use planning and development plan, with the exception of any portion of the perimeter in an agricultural zone.
Marina
Tourist installation that comprises a pleasure-boat harbour and the facilities that border the harbour and that is shown on the land use planning and development plan.
Campground
Establishment offering to the public, in return for payment, sites to accommodate tents or recreational camping vehicles, with the exception of a campground on a farm that belongs to the owner or operator of the livestock facilities concerned.
Solid manure management
A method of removing manure from a livestock facility or storage works where the water content is lower than 85% leaving the building.
Liquid manure management
A method of removing manure other than by solid manure management.
Livestock facility
A facility where animals are raised or an enclosure or part of an enclosure where animals are kept for purposes other than pasture including, where applicable, any manure storage works in the facility or enclosure.
Livestock unit
A livestock facility or, where there is more than one facility, all the livestock facilities in respect of which a point on the perimeter of one facility is less than 150 m from the neighbouring livestock facility, and from storage works, if any, for the manure from the animals in the facility or facilities.
